Born to Brandon and Dena Whittington Wednesday, October 2nd year 2oo2. Haley Kaye was here at 5:12am, weighing 6lbs 11ozs and 20 inches long.
We were scheduled to be at the hospital for c-section at 5:30am. Miss Haley decided she didn't want to wait, impatient, just like her daddy ...already. She woke us up at 2:00am. Although, I didn't know what was going on, because I never was able to experience labor with my first. In fact, Brandon told me I was in labor and made me go to the hospital. On the way there we got stopped by the highway patrol, he let us go telling us to slow down a little, and that he had been in our shoes and understood The first time we ever saw one that early on a stretch of road of about 15 miles of nothing. Once we got there we couldn't get in, because it was so early the doors were still locked. Being that I am employed at URHCS I had my tag to get us in. We get up there and finally get all hooked up to everything. Daddy stayed by my side the whole time, until I got nauseated from the anesthesia, then he had to step back, but he was able to tolerated it later on, until it all wore off. I am grateful he stood by my side through it all. He didn't even go to work until the next Monday.
Haley had many visitors to welcome her into our lives, along with many gifts from family, friends, and from United Regional. All visitors, gifts, doctors, and staff were greatly appreciated. Thank you to everyone!!!!
